Life Scouts

"Lifescouts is an badge-collecting community of people who share real-world experiences online" quoted from the about section of lifescouts.com
Basically this is boy/girl scouts in a free flow fashion. The badge designs are posted on their Tumblr site to be shared, and there are physical pins that can be purchased at their store. I love anything that motivates me to learn, grown and explore, and getting achievements along the way is even better.
Below are my badges, scroll over them to read stories about each experience.
Picnics are the best way to celebrate sunshine in the NW.
I learned to bake from my grandma when I was in grade school, if only I had learned all her tricks.
I'm not very skilled at drawing, so I supplement with a camera. Always working to get better.
I actually didn't get my driver's license until part way through college.
I went to horse camp for two summers in middle school.
I love origami, I have been perfecting my folds since high school.

Not a super fan of Vegas, but I went there with my dad a few times as a kid. The best part was a Vietnamese soup restaurant.

I love animals. Currently I have a cat, a corn snake, and a beta.
I get up before the sun now, but I did intentionally get up and watch the sunrise once, I have to say, I like sunsets better.
I am not afraid of snakes. I was as a kid, and I'm not going to go grabbing wild ones, but I am just fine holding mine.
I definitely went through a yoyo phase. I can't do any tricks, but I had a couple trick yoyos and a VHS tape showing me how.
I sort of hate chess. It really exercises my brain... but the husband always wins.
I'm not sure if I really have this badge, but I did take a semester of guitar, and I can play notes, and harmonics.
I am very bad at bowling. But I still go now and then.
Haha, in 2nd grade soccer we all got trophies. Also, my friend and I got medals for a 5k in 7th grade (we may have accidentally cheated).
Nathan says I can't claim this badge until I do a tournament, however, I didn't know anyone with a bow until I moved up here, so I think I'm good.
Jump Rope for Heart. It was a fundraiser we did every year, jump rope routines and challenges.
I got a gameboy color for christmas one year, and well there you go.
A requirement for Arizona summers.
I am not a dancer. However my 5 year old self sure was. Tutus and interpretive and tap and all.
I have been to many zoos. I did a zoo sleepover, had a zoo birthday party, and I've been to the local zoo several times.
First time on a real roller coaster: "that wasn't bad, I just don't want to go upside down" "... Sara... you just did"
Are actually not that hard to make. I found online instructions, and made the classic dog and all.
This was accomplished on our honeymoon, with the badge in mind. It was really fun.
Dive-Ins make a lot more sense in the desert. It was a fun way to spend a high school evening.
Soccer has always been my sport of choice. I played only twice though. 2nd grade, and freshman year of high school.
Well, I played for half of 5th grade when I had my first crush (on a boy who did band). Then we lost our band program.
I am not a programmer. But I survived one semester, so I know slightly more than nothing.
Kites!! I love kites. Nathan's family flies trick kites, so i've learned that. I also have a mini kite in my car always.
I am very bad at ping pong, and all racket sports. But al least it is fun.
